US Visa Agents in Mumbai
We help you for a US visa in Mumbai for B1/B2 tourist and business visas. DS-160 filing, document checks and mock interviews before your BKC appointment.
Your preparation starts well before the interview with an accurately completed DS-160 form, supporting documents, and a clear explanation of your travel plans.
At Visa Agents in Mumbai, we help applicants prepare for US tourist and business visitor visa applications (B1/B2). Our assistance includes DS-160 form guidance, document checklist preparation, travel-purpose clarification, and interview preparation based on your individual circumstances.
Whether you're planning a holiday in the United States, visiting family, attending business meetings, or participating in a conference, we help you understand the application process and prepare with greater confidence.
Our role is to guide you through the process and not guarantee approval. The final visa decision rests solely with the US consular officer.

For holidays, visiting family, attending a wedding or graduation, client meetings, conferences and trade shows. One visa covers both purposes. You can't work or get paid by a US company on it.
How It Works
How the process works from Mumbai
01
Profile check. We go through your travel history, job, income and family ties, and tell you honestly how strong your case looks before you pay any government fee.
02
DS-160 form. We fill it with you, line by line. Mismatches between your DS-160 and what you say at the interview are one of the quickest ways to a refusal.
03
Fee payment and appointment booking. We set up your profile on the official appointment system, guide the fee payment and book biometrics and interview slots.
04
Biometrics. Fingerprints and photo at the Offsite Facilitation Centre (OFC) in Mumbai.
05
Interview at the US Consulate General, BKC. Bring the documents we've organised with you. The officer may not ask for most of them, but you need them ready.
06
Passport return. If approved, your passport comes back with the visa stamped.
Your two Mumbai appointments
US visas in Mumbai involve two separate visits, both in Bandra Kurla Complex:
- Visa Application Centre (OFC), Laxmi Towers, BKC: fingerprints and photo
- US Consulate General, G Block, BKC: the interview
Both are booked separately, usually on different days. The consulate doesn't let you take phones, bags or most electronics inside, and there's no storage at the gate. Leave them at home or with someone outside. Arrive close to your slot time; early arrivals are often turned back to queue later.
Documents checklist by profile
- Everyone: passport valid for 6+ months beyond your stay, old passports, DS-160 confirmation, appointment letter, one photo (5 cm × 5 cm, white background, taken in the last 6 months, no glasses).
- Salaried: last 3 payslips, employment letter with approved leave, 3 years of ITRs, 6 months of bank statements
- Self-employed / business owners: business registration, GST certificate, 3 years of ITRs for you and the business, bank statements
- Retired: pension papers, bank and fixed deposit statements, property documents
- Visiting family: invitation letter, the host's status proof (green card, visa or passport copy)
What changed recently
- Most applicants now attend an in-person interview. The State Department narrowed interview-waiver eligibility in 2025, so plan for a consulate visit even if you've had a US visa before. We'll check whether you still qualify for a waiver.
- Apply where you live. Applicants are expected to apply in their country of nationality or residence. Booking an earlier slot abroad is no longer a shortcut.
Why US visas get refused
Most refusals fall under Section 214(b): the officer wasn't convinced you'll return to India. It isn't a permanent ban, but the fee is gone and the refusal stays on your record. The usual causes:
- Answers that don't match the DS-160
- Unclear trip purpose or a vague itinerary
- Weak proof of employment, business or property in India
We fix those gaps before the interview, not after a refusal.
What Visa Agents in Mumbai do for you
- Honest profile assessment before you spend money on the fee
- DS-160 preparation and review by someone who has filed hundreds of them
- Document checklist built for your case: salaried, self-employed, retired or first-time traveller
- Mock interview with the questions officers actually ask, so you answer in your own words with confidence
- Refusal review if you've been turned down before, so the next application addresses the reason
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How long does a US visitor visa take from Mumbai?
It depends on interview wait times, which change through the year. Check the current wait on the official site or ask us. We'll tell you the earliest realistic date when you call.
Can a visa agent get me an earlier appointment?
No one can buy you a faster slot. We monitor availability and book the best one that opens up, but appointments are released by the consulate, not by agents.
I was refused under 214(b). Can I reapply?
Yes. Reapply only when something has changed or you can present your case more clearly. Repeating the same application usually gets the same answer.
How long is a B1/B2 visa valid for Indians?
It's often issued for up to 10 years with multiple entries, but the officer decides the validity. Each visit's allowed stay is set at the port of entry.
Can I take my phone to the US Consulate in Mumbai?
No. Phones, bags and most electronics aren't allowed inside, and there's no locker at the consulate.
How much bank balance do I need for a US tourist visa?
There's no fixed minimum. Your funds should comfortably cover the trip and match your income and tax returns. Sudden large deposits do more harm than good.
